What to Do This Independence Day!
It’s hard to believe it is already July! And with it, of course, come the celebration of the country’s birthday on the 4th. Although not all enjoy the booms and bangs of fireworks (little ones and fur babies often are very scared), if you do want to see some great fireworks, here is a list of a few happening here in our own area.
Fireworks Anyone?
There is the Star-Spangled Celebration at Sanford River Walk in Sanford, The Red Hot & Boom in Altamonte Springs, the Celebration of Freedom in Winter Springs, Fireworks At The Fountain in Orlando at the Eola House, Independence Day Celebration in Winter Park, Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks (July 2) at the Oviedo Mall in Oviedo, and of course all the attraction parks are planning their individual holiday festivities.
Many communities around Central Florida are having parades, fishing derbies, and community bar-b-q’s. There is so much to do!
Maybe you prefer staying at home by the pool with the kids or relaxing with your favorite beverage. That’s cool too. If you don’t have a pool but wish next year you would be celebrating beside one, call us and we will help you find the perfect pool home. (Shameless plug, I know Lol)
Here’s a great simple recipe that is delicious for all ages and fun to make this “Red, White & Blue” or “Captain America” Drink full recipe by the Worthey Life Blog can be found by clicking on this link. There you will also find a number of drink recipes and adult beverages as well. They even have downloadable color sheets for the kiddos.
Whenever and however you choose to spend your time this weekend, make sure you plan ahead. The forecast for Central Florida for the July 4th weekend is predictable for this time of year. Temperatures are expected in the low to mid 90’s. Make sure you have lots of sunscreen and water. Ah, and also in our average Florida summer, the chances of afternoon thunder showers and/or storms would make a good reason to pack a poncho and an umbrella!
Happy Fourth everyone!
